CALIFORNIA MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TEAM (CAL-MAT) PROGRAM

CAL-MATs form an integral part of EMSA’s Mobile Medical Assets (MMA) Program.  Modeled after the successful federal DMAT program, California Medical Assistance Teams (CAL-MATs) are a group of highly trained medical professionals and other specialists organized and coordinated by the State Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) for rapid field medical response in disaster.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

EMSA is now accepting applications for both Phase I (Current or former DMAT affiliation) and Phase II (non-DMAT affiliation) for the CAL-MAT program. Note Phase II is presently limited to the San Diego/Imperial County, Orange County and San Francisco Bay Area Units. Expansion of Phase II to other Units will occur as these units are formally organized.
