  2. Initiate, design, coordinate and implement projects that will improve the personnel practices and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in order to facilitate their representation at all levels within the department.
  3. Maintain representation and participation on the State Disability Advisory Council (SDAC).
  4. Establish liaison with groups and organizations that are concerned with achieving representation and utilization of persons with disabilities in the department’s work force.

The EMS Authority is proud to support National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Held each October, NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. NDEAM is led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, but its true spirit lies in the many observances held at the grassroots level across the nation every year. Learn how you can support NDEAM by visiting the ODEP website: www.dol.gov/NDEAM.
